Job summary

Research Medical Center in Missouri is seeking an Electrophysiology Nurse Clinician to work with the cardiology team in the EP lab. You will administer medications, monitor vital signs and EKGs, and contribute to post-procedure care.

The role requires an RN license, ACLS and Basic Cardiac Life Support certification, and an Associate Degree or higher. You will document records, teach patients, participate in CPR, and support performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Active RN license and ACLS certification required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification required.
• Associate Degree in Nursing or related field; RN licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administers medications and monitors vital signs/EKG.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Cardiology Nurse Manager, the Electrophysiology Nurse Clinician works with electrophysiologist performing nursing activities as related to the Cardiovascular laboratory. Administers medications, monitors patient vital signs/EKG, performs continual patient assessment during patient's stay in the laboratory. Documents accurate nursing records and patient data. Coordinates patient teaching and post procedure assessment. Performs emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Assists in inservice education. Collects and assembles data for data base, outcome analysis and performance improvement. Responsible to carry out any other activities assigned by the Cardiology Nurse Manager to assure the department runs effectively and efficiently.
