Job summary

Research Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking an experienced RN for the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab. The role involves caring for patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures within the cardiovascular laboratory.

You will administer medications, monitor vitals and EKGs, and perform continuous patient assessments, while coordinating teaching and post-procedure evaluation, including CPR when needed. The position emphasizes patient care within a collaborative cardiac team.

Qualifications

• RN with Cardiovascular lab nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS and BCLS required (or equivalent).
• No travel required for this role.

Responsibilities

Job Summary And Qualifications

Under the general direction of the Cardiology Nurse Manager, the Electrophysiology Nurse Clinician works with electrophysiologist performing nursing activities as related to the Cardiovascular laboratory. Administers medications, monitors patient vital signs/EKG, performs continual patient assessment during patient’s stay in the laboratory. Documents accurate nursing records and patient data. Coordinates patient teaching and post procedure assessment. Performs emergency cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Assists in inservice education. Collects and assembles data for data base, outcome analysis and performance improvement. Responsible to carry out any other activities assigned by the Cardiology Nurse Manager to assure the department runs effectively and efficiently.
