Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks an Endoscopy RN for Alan B. Miller Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. This dual-role RN will provide pre-procedure assessments, sedation management, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery, while performing technical duties in the endoscopy suite.

Ideal candidate has a Florida RN license, 3+ years in acute care, and AHA BLS/ACLS. CGRN preferred but not mandatory; minimal travel and opportunities for growth within UHS facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program (BSN preferred).
• Current FL state nursing license.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in acute care specialty nursing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and/or specialty training (current upon hire).
• Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse (CGRN) preferred but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Pre-procedure assessment, moderate sedation management, and post-procedure recovery.
• Intra-procedure monitoring, scope handling, and recovery nursing.
• Procedure room setup, reprocessing support, and equipment operation.
• Direct patient care, discharge planning, and continuity of care.
• Lead Universal Protocol / Time Out and ensure patient advocacy during sedation.

Alan B. Miller Medical Center

A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence! The new state-of-the-art hospital will join UHS’ growing regional network of healthcare operations which includes Wellington Regional Medical Center, the ER at Westlake (an extension of Wellington Regional Medical Center), Wellington Physicians Urgent Care and other healthcare services and access points. The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services.

RN, Endoscopy (40 hours work schedule)

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) – Dual Role functions as a licensed registered nurse, endoscopy technician, and recovery nurse based on operational volume and patient care needs. This role provides direct patient care including pre-procedure assessment, moderate sedation management, intra-procedure monitoring, post-procedure recovery, and discharge while also performing technical duties including procedure room setup, scope handling, reprocessing support, equipment operation, and procedural assistance. The RN maintains competency across all functional areas to support safe patient care, operational flexibility, and efficient patient flow.

Education Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in acute care specialty nursing. One (1) to three (3)
