Job summary

Alan B. Miller Medical Center seeks an experienced Endoscopy RN to join our team. The role blends nursing and endoscopy responsibilities, including pre-procedure assessments, sedation management, intra-procedure monitoring, and recovery after procedures.

• Graduate of an accredited RN program; Florida nursing license.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in acute care specialty nursing.
• Current BLS/ACLS and other required certifications for specialty as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including pre-procedure assessment, moderate sedation management, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery while performing technical duties.
• Assist with procedure room setup, scope handling, and reprocessing support; operate related equipment.
• Support safe patient flow, post-care disposition, and discharge planning in the endoscopy setting.
• Maintain competency across endoscopy functions to ensure quality and efficiency.

Alan B. Miller Medical Center

A neighborhood hospital with medical center excellence! The new state-of-the-art hospital will join UHS’ growing regional network of healthcare operations which includes Wellington Regional Medical Center, the ER at Westlake (an extension of Wellington Regional Medical Center), Wellington Physicians Urgent Care and other healthcare services and access points. The Alan B. Miller Medical Center will feature 150 private patient rooms, a medical office building and a helistop. Upon completion of the initial phase of the project, the hospital campus will include 365,000 square feet of hospital and medical office space. The new Medical Center will offer comprehensive medical services including Emergency Care, Orthopedics and Surgical Services, Labor and Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care, Oncology, Cardiovascular and Neurosurgical services. In addition, the campus will be home to medical office buildings that will provide outpatient services.

RN, Endoscopy (40 hours work schedule)

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) – Dual Role functions as a licensed registered nurse, endoscopy technician, and recovery nurse based on operational volume and patient care needs. This role provides direct patient care including pre-procedure assessment, moderate sedation management, intra-procedure monitoring, post-procedure recovery, and discharge while also performing technical duties including procedure room setup, scope handling, reprocessing support, equipment operation, and procedural assistance. The RN maintains competency across all functional areas to support safe patient care, operational flexibility, and efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

RN Job Requirements:

Education Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN preferred.

Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in acute care specialty nursing. One (1) to three (3)

Skills:

• Ability to function effectively in high stress, fast paced environments

• Maintains continuous patient advocacy while patients are anesthetized or sedated

License / Certification:

• Current FL state nursing license.

• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire) as required by specialty.

• Certified Gastroenterology Registered Nurse (CGRN) preferred NOT mandatory
