Qualifications

  • Endoscopy Procedural Experience required; training offered for those without.
  • BLS/CPR certification, ACLS optional but preferred.

  • Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Executes skilled nursing procedures and clinical decisions.
  • Documents care and responds effectively to emergencies.

  • Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data: follows the written plan of care, standards, practice guidelines, utilizes pathways, which includes notifying physicians as appropriate
  • Formulates a plan of care for individual needs, including patient population needs. Participates in the planning of routine transitional health care needs (i.e. treatment options, patient placement options)
  • Adapts planned educational programs and information to individual patients and family by modifying teaching strategies or content. Integrates education during the delivery of patient care
  • Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care to determine immediate priorities and to offer solutions for problems. Performs efficiently in emergency situations, following established protocols, appropriate communication and documentation
  • Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience
  • Recognizes the need for continued education and consults with unit leadership to develop and implement educational goals which includes identifying leadership attributes

  • Current Endoscopy Procedural Experience required. If operationally able,will consider training opportunities forthose with no Endoscopy Procedural experience.
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, upon hire
