Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Registered Nurse with Endoscopy specialization for a 13-week assignment. The RN will provide direct patient care, perform assessments, and develop plans of care within the endoscopy unit. Responsibilities include coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, ensuring safety and quality, mentoring staff, and educating patients and families.

Shift: 07:30–16:00; 10-hour shifts. Requires a minimum of 2 years acute care RN experience with 2 years in endoscopy and BLS/ACLS

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience, with 2 years in endoscopy.
  • Must-Have: patient assessment, care planning, clinical interventions, patient/family education, delegation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assessment: Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure.
  • Development & Implementation: Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care.
  • Reviews and revises the plan as indicated and collaborates with patients, families, and interdisciplinary services.
  • Education: Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education for patient and family needs.
  • Leadership: Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel and participates in quality and safety improvements.

Description:A professional nurse is accountable for the care of a group of patients.The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe, effective patient and family-centered care, customer satisfaction, and quality outcomes.The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit.The RN promotes their own development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education supported by a Practice Governance framework.The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members.Applying the caring processes of the Kristin M. Swanson Model of Care, the RN is responsible for assessing, developing, implementing, and evaluating the plan of care.The RN focuses on patient and family comforts, education, and satisfaction.The RN applies their educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care and mentoring/precepting staff.

Job Responsibilities:Assessment: Performs assessments and reassessments per policy and procedure, or as warranted by patient condition.Demonstrates ability to make sound independent decisions.Development & Implementation: Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care.Reviews and revises the plan as indicated.Collaborates with patients/families and interdisciplinary services.Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization, patients, and families.Evaluation: Monitors and documents response to clinical interventions.Education: Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient and family needs.Does so as appropriate to the care, treatment, and services provided during their stay and at discharge.Leadership: Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel.Functions as a mentor/preceptor.Demonstrates, encourages, and facilitates teamwork.Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement.Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts and implements practice changes.Complies with regulatory standards and participates in the Practice Governance model.
