Boone County Hospital is seeking an experienced Emergency Department nurse for weekend coverage. You will provide direct patient care during 12-hour night shifts (7:00pm–7:00am) on Saturdays and Sundays, applying nursing processes and collaborating with the care team.

Salary Scale: $32.50 - 46.15 (Weekend Package rate time and half)
Education/Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing: Valid Iowa Registered Nurse License. BLS, ACLS, TNCC.
Experience: Emergency Department experience required.
This position provides direct nursing care to patients utilizing the emergency room, performs technical nursing functions, and upholds the standard of practice of a professional nurse.
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. Employee frequently is required to stand, walk and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Vision must be correctable to view computer screens and read printed information. Hearing must be in the normal range for telephone contacts and other conversations.
Employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock and risk of radiation.
