Job summary

OSUMC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care in accordance with our standards, delivering quality care across the patient life span on the assigned unit. The RN must demonstrate growth and development knowledge and the ability to build and modify the plan of care to meet patient needs.

This safety-sensitive role requires an Oklahoma RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC, and Moderate Sedation competencies within required timeframes, aligning

Qualifications

• 2-year/Associate's Degree.
• Current Oklahoma RN License.
• BLS (upon hire).
• ACLS (within 90 days).
• PALS or ENPC (within 1 year).
• TNCC (within 1 year).
• Moderate Sedation (within 90 days).

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document care activities in accordance with OSUMC standards.
• Provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit.
• Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development over the life span.
• Plan for the provision of patient care by developing, modifying, and implementing the plan of care per OSUMC standards.
• Adhere to the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

SIGN-ON BONUS UP TO $20,000

Individuals within this job classification are accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting care activities in accordance with OSUMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care. The Registered Nurse (RN) must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit. This individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status, and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs. The RN is to plan for the provision of patient care, including the development, modification, and implementation of the plan of care in accordance with OSUMC standards in order to deliver efficient, effective, and quality patient care as described in the Patient Care policies and procedures. He/she is expected to adhere to and abide by the rules and regulations set forth by the Oklahoma Nursing Practice Act.

This position is designated as safety-sensitive pursuant to 63 O.S. § 427.8 and is subject to our Alcohol and Drug-Free Workplace Policy and applicable zero-tolerance standards regarding marijuana (including for individuals who hold a valid medical marijuana license) and other intoxicating substances as permitted by Oklahoma law.
