Job summary

AdventHealth in Tarpon Springs, FL seeks a registered nurse with critical care experience to lead a care team in a high-acuity unit. You will perform patient assessments, implement care plans, administer medications, and educate families on treatments.

The role requires Florida RN licensure, BLS/ACLS, and proficiency with EMR systems (Cerner/Epic). Join our Night shift to support patient safety and quality outcomes.

Qualifications

Job Description:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self‑care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high‑quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
