Job summary

AdventHealth in Sebring, FL seeks an experienced RN for night shifts to deliver high-quality critical care. The role includes assessments, care planning, medication administration, and family education, leveraging Cerner/EPIC EMR systems. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires an Associate’s in Nursing, Florida licensure, and BLS. A BSN and ED/ICU experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• RN with Florida licensure and BLS certification.
• Associate's degree in Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Experience in ED, Critical Care or acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and gather health data.

Job Description:

• Shift: Nights

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR). Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.
