Job summary

HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital is seeking an RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput to ensure efficient patient movement through the Emergency Department with clinical support and coordination. The role focuses on aligning staffing, patient placement, and resources to deliver organized, safe, and patient-centered care.

You will lead collaboration with physicians, nurses, and care teams, providing escalation and clinical guidance as needed, while supporting safety initiatives and quality

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• APRN or RN license required (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse).
• RN Diploma or Associate Degree required.
• Emergency Department experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating patient placement, triage processes, EMS handoffs, and inpatient transfers.
• Aligning staffing plans with patient volume, acuity, and department needs.
• Monitoring delays in care transitions and collaborating on solutions.
• Supporting safety priorities, experience initiatives, and quality outcomes.
• Partnering with physicians, nurses, and care teams to remove barriers.
• Providing clinical guidance, escalation support, and patient care when needed.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As the RN Coordinator for ED Flow/Throughput, you will play a key role in ensuring patients move through the Emergency Department with clarity, clinical support, and thoughtful coordination. By aligning staffing, patient placement, and clinical resources,you’llhelp teams deliver care that is organized, safe, and patient‑centered. And in moments of urgency and complexity, your leadership will keep caregivers connected, supported, and focused on their mission to care for and improve human life.

Your role will include:

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (APRN) Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, or (RN) Registered Nurse
• Registered Nurse Diploma, or Associate Degree
• Emergency Room experience preferred
