Job summary

Piedmont Walton Hospital's Emergency Department is a fast-paced, high-acuity setting serving a wide patient population as a Level III Trauma Center. The staff nurse delivers nursing care from birth onward, using the nursing process to continuously evaluate patient needs with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio.

The role is Full Time WEO Night Shift 7 PM–7 AM with a sign-on bonus. Prior hospital experience is preferred but new graduates are eligible. Georgia licensure is required to practice as an RN.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff to maintain standards of practice and quality care.
• Work within organizational policies and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.

Responsibilities:

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Work Experience

• No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)
