Job summary

Piedmont Walton's Emergency Department is a dynamic, high-acuity Level III Trauma Center with 15 treatment rooms and a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio. The staff nurse role emphasizes prioritization, teamwork, and professionalism, with self-scheduling via Smart Square for work-life balance.

We offer Full Time Nights (7 PM–7 AM) and a sign-on bonus. Responsibilities include providing comprehensive nursing care across the lifecycle and coordinating care to ensure quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• RN with Georgia licensure or multistate license required.
• BCLS required at hire; ACLS/PALS certifications needed within stated timeframes.
• Experience in hospital setting preferred; new grads eligible.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
• Coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff to deliver high-quality nursing care.
• Adhere to organizational policies and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.

• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions Preferred

• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License. Required and
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)

• Cardiac Tele:Additional Required Certifications:ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days Required
• Critical Care:Additional Required Certifications:ACLS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date) within 180 Days Required
• Dialysis:Additional Required Certifications:CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate) preferred Preferred
• Emergency Department:Additional Required Certifications:ACLS and PALS Certification - (Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date)Experienced Emergency Department nurses will have 6 months to obtain the PALS certification. within 180 Days Required
