Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a general hospital setting. The role requires adherence to established policies, procedures, and standards of the healthcare organization to ensure safe, effective patient outcomes.

The RN will utilize the nursing process to plan and coordinate care for the appropriate age groups, initiate care plans with the team, document thoroughly, and educate patients and families across the care continuum.

Qualifications

• Active PA RN license or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• CPR certification (American Heart Association).
• Background clearances: Act 34, Act 33, Act 73 FBI.
• HIPAA/privacy policies compliance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Utilizes the nursing process in providing and coordinating the plan of patient care for the age appropriate population. (30%)
• Initiates, monitors and revises interdisciplinary plan of care based on assessment findings and physician orders for the age appropriate population. (20%)
• Completes patient documentation in a comprehensive manner in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements that promotes interdisciplinary communication. (25%)
• Provides ongoing and appropriate teaching to patients and families to effectively guide them across the continuum of care. (20%)
• Supports the development of students, new staff and colleagues, may serve as a preceptor. (5%)
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum

• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
