Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health – Marble Falls Emergency Department is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN shifts. You will deliver direct patient care, support clinical teams and participate in trauma and stroke readiness initiatives.

The role requires an active RN license in Texas, BLS, and at least two years of relevant experience. Epic charting familiarity and strong communication are preferred to ensure safe, high-quality care for all patients.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing program.
• Active RN license in Texas (or eligible).
• BLS certification required within 30 days of start date.
• Minimum 2 years in a relevant nursing role.

LOCATION: BAYLOR SCOTT & WHITE MEDICAL CENTER, MARBLE FALLS TX

DEPT: EMERGENCY

SCHEDULE: PRN

We serve all populations, Trauma IV Stroke Ready. 12 Beds, average of 54 patient visits. Patient Ratio 3 or 4 to one, depending on acuity. We use Epic charting, Level 1 infuser, hot line, Temp Pacer, Draegger Monitors, Art Lines, Chest tubes and Tele-Neuro Our staff consist of a Manager, Supervisor, RN's and Techs.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse on Unit is a key player in patient care management, following our nursing practice model. They work with other health care staff to deliver patient care effectively. Our Registered Nurses use the nursing process efficiently. They diagnose patient responses to health issues and create care plans accordingly. It includes evaluating healthcare needs and responses.

• Familiarity with nursing and patient care standards and procedures.

• Good command of medical terminology, with a focus on healthcare promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention.

• Capability to identify and report changes in patient conditions, develop, and modify patient care plans as required.
