Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

$20,000 Sign-On Bonus | Up to $54.00/hour + Night & Weekend Differentials

Schedule: Full-Time Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.

Watertown Regional Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. Join our team of experienced RN’s, providers, and techs who work seamlessly to provide exceptional care to our patients. Our Emergency Department is a state-of-the-art, 16-bed unit.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform nursing patient care duties under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator and/or Nursing Unit Director.
  • Plan, provide, and evaluate total nursing care in accordance with the patient care philosophy.
  • Facilitate individualized, goal-directed nursing care using the nursing process and primary nursing principles.
  • Relate effectively with other shifts for continuity of care and participate in education.
  • Identify problems and implement solutions.
  • Perform interventions such as specimen collection and wound care; administer medication; document care.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living.
  • Monitor and communicate patient status and reactions to interventions.
  • Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
Qualifications:
Education:
  • Associates degree in Nursing required.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.
Licenses/Certifications:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Valid RN licensure in Wisconsin.
Experience:
  • Minimum 6 months of RN experience in a patient care setting or entering Nurse Residency.
