RN - ED, Full-time Evenings

Piedmont Henry Hospital

Emergency Services Unit Profile

Piedmont Henry Emergency Department

  • 75000-90000 visits per year
  • Licensed for 59 beds
  • 3/4:1 Patient to RN Ratio
  • Level III trauma center
  • Triage and Assessment of patient complaint
  • Medical screening exam by a qualified medical provider and treatment plan based on assessment
  • Appropriate Drug Therapy
  • Management of critically ill patients
  • Patient discharge education
  • Fully Accredited Stroke Center
  • Recently added 18 bed Cardiac Observation Unit that works closely with ED
  • Multidisciplinary team in the ED includes: ED MD, ED APP, ED RN, C-RN, Flow Coordinator, Unit Based Educator, RN, ED Paramedics, Patient Care Technicians, Radiology staff, Respiratory staff, Patient Experience and Patient Access.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. He/she functions within organizational policies and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse maintains standards of practice, coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff, and ensures the delivery of quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Graduate of a nursing program

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
New Graduates of a nursing program are eligible

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License.
BLS certification required.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable
  • Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
