RN - ED, Full-time Evenings at Piedmont Henry Hospital

Emergency Services Unit Profile:

  • 75000-90000 visits per year
  • Licensed for 59 beds
  • 3/4:1 Patient to RN Ratio
  • Level III trauma center
  • Triage and assessment of patient complaint
  • Medical screening exam by a qualified medical provider and treatment plan based on assessment
  • Appropriate drug therapy
  • Management of critically ill patients
  • Patient discharge education
  • Fully accredited Stroke Center
  • Recently added 18-bed Cardiac Observation Unit working closely with ED

Responsibilities:

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. The nurse functions within organizational policies and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. Responsibilities include maintaining standards of practice and coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education Required: Graduate of a nursing program
  • Minimum Experience Required: New Graduates eligible
  • Minimum Licensure/Certification: Current Georgia RN license or NLC/eNLC Multistate License; BLS certification required
  • Additional Qualifications: For PRN positions: one year hospital nursing experience preferred; Bachelor's degree preferred; advanced certification in specialty area if applicable; hospital nursing experience preferred
