Carilion Clinic’s Emergency Department at CNRV Medical Center in Christiansburg, VA, seeks an RN for full-time evening/night shifts (7pm–7am) with rotating holidays. You will provide age-appropriate care, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, document in EMR, and support patient education and outcomes in a dynamic ED environment.

Required is a Virginia RN license (or eligibility), BLS-HCP, and a nursing program degree from a state-approved school. ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required per area.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.
• Experience: None.
• Current Virginia RN license or eligibility to obtain licensure required.
• BLS-HCP required; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required depending on assigned work area.
• Keyboarding skills and computer literacy, including use of electronic medical records; behavioral health considerations.

What We Require:

Education: Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program required.

Experience: None.

Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia required or eligibility to obtain licensure required.

Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required. Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or NRP may be required based on assigned work area.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Keyboarding skills and computer literacy required, including use of electronic medical records. For Behavioral Health roles, must demonstrate ability to safely manage disruptive or potentially violent patients.

Compensation Range:

$33.52 - $50.28

Employee pay is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, credentials, education, and prior work experience. The compensation range does not include benefits or pension plan.
