Join Cleveland Clinic's Medina Hospital as an RN in the Emergency Department. You will work in a 148-bed community-based setting delivering comprehensive, world-class care and collaborating with a skilled team.

The role emphasizes patient-centered service, education, and efficient care delivery across day, evening, night and weekend shifts. You'll participate in advanced care processes, utilize leading technologies, and provide ongoing family education and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and current RN licensure.
• Current state RN licensure is required.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• ACLS and PALS certification preferred or obtained within 12 months of hire for ED.
• 1 year of acute care RN or ED experience, or licensed military RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to ED patients.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patients' conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician/nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients' discharge needs.

Medina Hospital's 20-bed Emergency Department serves all patients seeking emergency care - inclusive of all ages from neonate to geriatric, and regardless of gender, race, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or ability to pay. The department is focused on providing treatment tailored to each individual patient's specific needs, with an emphasis on expediting care and reducing wait times. As an RN on this team, you will deliver exceptional care, throughout the patient care journey. A caregiver in this position works days from 11:00AM - 11:30PM or evenings from 1:00PM - 1:30AM.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Provide direct nursing care.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing ( Diploma , ADN or BSN program)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of beginning work in the Emergency Department
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC - adult) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC - pediatric) upon hire or within 24 months of beginning work in the Emergency Department
• One year of current acute care RN experience and/or Emergency Department (ED) experience OR licensed military RN experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Bachelor 's of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Physical Requirements:

• Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
• Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.
• Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.
• Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
