AdventHealth Ocala is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Emergency/critical care setting. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and administer treatments per physician orders.

Qualifications

• RN with Associate's degree is required.
• Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.

Job Description:

Opportunities are available on Days (6:45 a.m. to 7:15 p.m.), Mid Shift (10:45 a.m. to 11:15 p.m.), and Nights (6:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m.). $10,000 Sign on Bonus available for eligible candidates Relocation incentive from $5,000 available for eligible candidates Grow with us. Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.


• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.


• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.


• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.


• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.


• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.


• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).


• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.


• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.


• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.


• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.


• Respond promptly to life-threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.

• Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record [Preferred]


• Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred]


• EPIC [Preferred]

Education:

• Associate's of Nursing [Required]


• Bachelor's of Nursing [Preferred]

Work Experience:

• 1+ year of RN ED experience in the past 12 months [Required]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]


• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
