Qualifications include RN licensure, ER experience, and certifications such as ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and STABLE, with program participation for ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• RN license required and in good standing.
• ER nursing experience required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 90 days of start date.
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course within 1 year of start date.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 60 days.
• PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days.
• STABLE within 90 days.
• BCLS Instructor within 30 days.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) within 1 year.
• Three years of nursing experience including ER settings.

Responsibilities

• Assist with admission and discharge processes to support throughput and high-quality care.
• Monitor and coordinate nursing care across the unit during shift by collaborating with the management team.
• Collaborate with experts and managers to improve outcomes and service in the unit.
• Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when needed.
• Help implement nursing strategies and staff engagement initiatives such as hourly rounds and employee rounding.
• Provide input on interviewing, training, and performance management of staff.
• Assist with staff scheduling to align labor with patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Support inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) ensures and delivers high quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift. In collaboration with other members of the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures, serves as a resource person for staff, and models a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

What You Will Do In This Role

• Assists with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high quality, patient-centered care.
• Participates in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
• Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
• Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommends and implements courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
• Assists with staff scheduling. Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
• Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.

What Qualifications You Will Need

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Emergency Nurse Pediatric Cour must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• STABLE must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Basic Cardiac Life Support, or BCLS Instructor must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
• Trauma Nursing Core Course, or (TPATC) Transport Professional Advanced Trauma Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
• Three (3) years experience Required Years of Experience
• Emergency room RN experience required
