The Emergency Care Unit (ECU) overflow nurse at Southeast Health provides inpatient medical, surgical, telemetry, and stepdown care to patients admitted from the ED. The role supports the admitting team and coordinates with case management to advance the inpatient plan of care.
Night shift 7:00 pm–7:00 am, full-time equivalent 0.9. Must hold an active RN license in the state and have ED experience preferred; ACLS/PALS required and BCLS completed.

The role of the Emergency Care Unit (ECU) overflow nurse is to provide inpatient medical, surgical, telemetry, and stepdown level of care to patients admitted to the hospital from the Emergency Department (ED) The Overflow Nurse will care for the admitted patients in the dynamic, fast-paced, high-patient turnover environment The overflow nurse will advance the inpatient plan of care in coordination with the admitting team, case management and ED Charge Nurse
