Job summary

Southcoast Health System, Inc. is seeking an experienced RN for the Emergency Department at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River, MA. This 32-hour-per-week evening position includes weekend and holiday rotation, with a $4,000 sign-on for 2+ years of ED RN experience.

Join a 35-bed ED serving about 60,000 patients yearly in a supportive, fast-paced environment. Required MA RN licensure, BLS, ACLS/PALS/NIHSS prior to orientation, and vaccination compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• RN experience is preferred.
• ACLS, PALS and NIHSS required prior to orientation.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal flu and COVID-19 or approved exemption.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate total nursing care for patients on the Emergency Department unit.
• Participate in patient and family teaching and collaborate with the care team to maintain nursing standards.
• Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary staff to ensure safe, high-quality care.

We are searching for an EXPERIENCED RN for the Emergency Dept.

*$4,000 New Hire Sign On with 2+ years of RN Emergency Dept experience. Rehires Termed greater than 1 year are eligible*

Hours: 32hrs

Shift: Evening, 3:00pm - 11:00pm with weekend and holiday rotation

Under direction of the Manager, Patient Services or designee of individual assigned unit, perform a variety of duties involving coordinating total nursing care for patients, participating in patient and family teaching and providing leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice within an assigned patient care unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, which is appropriate to the age group of patients regularly served.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing or equivalent is required.
• Current RN Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• RN experience is preferred.
• ACLS, PALS and NIHSS required prior to the completion of orientation
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
