Job summary

Care New England is seeking Registered Nurses to provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in collaboration with families, following the American Nurses Association Standards of professional Nursing Practice. The RN provides primary nursing care and oversees assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.

The role requires competency within the multidisciplinary team, individualized patient care, assistance to physicians, and a strong commitment to patient rights and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations.
• Provides individualized, goal-directed nursing care to patients to whom they are assigned.
• Assists physicians with special tests and procedures.
• Functions well in emergency procedures according to policy and procedure.
• Facilitates a team approach to the patient plan of care incorporating all disciplines involved.
• Incorporates standards of care into nursing practices.
• Develops, maintains, and enhances necessary skills to work with all patients to whom they may be assigned.
• Serves as a clinical resource to enhance the development of other nursing staff members.
• Exhibits professional interpersonal skills in all situations. Protects and preserves patient rights to confidentiality.
