Job summary

Aurora Health Care Metro, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to engage in governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based care delivery. You will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

You will monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and ensure timely documentation in the EHR. The role may require floating to other units within the service area and maintaining a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) where clients are located (multi-state compact accepted).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; telehealth licensure requirements may apply.
• Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.
• Licensed nurses practicing via telehealth must be licensed or hold privilege in the client location state(s).

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team to influence outcomes.
• Upholds a culture of safety.
• Continuously evaluates patient, team, and unit outcomes and acts as needed.
• May administer medications, treatments, and therapies per protocols.
• Demonstrates effective communication, feedback, and conflict resolution; delegates appropriately.
• Maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area to meet patient care needs.
• Adheres to ANA Code of Ethics and ethical decision-making.
