Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• RN license with privileges to practice in the state(s) served.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be needed based on specialty.

Responsibilities

• Engages in governance, quality initiatives, and evidence-based practice improvements.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans, and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and maintains accurate, timely EHR documentation.
• May rotate to other units to meet patient care needs.
• Demonstrates ethical decision-making and adheres to ANA Code of Ethics.
• Delegates appropriately to RNs, LPNs, and unlicensed assistive personnel.
