Job summary

OSF HealthCare’s eICU center seeks a Registered Nurse to provide continuous vigilance and tele-nursing for critically ill adults across multiple ICUs. The role supports proactive monitoring, early intervention, and acts as a patient advocate while coordinating with inpatient nursing teams.

Requires Illinois RN license, BLS, ACLS (or within 90 days). Highest importance given to interpersonal skills, clinical judgment, and strong communication abilities in a fast-paced, high-stakes telehealth

Qualifications

• Education: High School/GED.
• Experience: Three years of recent experience as a staff nurse in adult critical care; one to two years in a role requiring collaboration with medical professionals.
• Licensure/ Certification: Registered Nursing License (Illinois). Current BLS Certification. ACLS Provider Certification or completion within 90 days of hire.
• Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Pay range for this position is $34.25 - $51.13/hour. Actual pay is based on years of licensure. This is an Hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: The eICU center Registered Nurse is a member of a collaborative team who is responsible for providing continuous vigilance and tele-nursing to a diverse population of critically ill adults across multiple ICUs at various hospitals. Provides proactive, continuous monitoring, prevention, early intervention and ongoing care with the goal of decreasing ICU related morbidity and mortality. Utilizes evidenced based care and clinical decision support to guide practice. Acts as a patient advocate and resource to inpatient nursing staff.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Hight School/GED
• Experience: Three years of recent experience as a staff nurse in adult critical care. One to two years of past experience in a role which required effective communication and collaboration with medical/health care professionals
• Licensure/ Certification: Registered Nursing License (Illinois). Current BLS Certification. Current ACLS Provider Certification or completion within 90 days of hire
• Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
• Proficiency with Windows based computer applications

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Bachelors Degree in Nursing
• Experience: Five years of recent experience as a staff nurse in the specialty field of adult critical care
• Licensure/ Certification: Current CCRN or CCRNe certification
