Job summary

ARMStaffing seeks a Clinical Educator in Juneau, AK to oversee and maintain clinical education programs, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality patient care. You will design, teach, and evaluate training while supporting services under the CNO or designee.

Requirements include active Alaska RN license, 5+ years nursing, 3 years clinical instructor experience, and current ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications; TNCC instructor preferred, plus supervisory experience.

Qualifications

  • Active Alaska RN license at time of submission.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • 5+ years professional nursing experience, including ≥2 years as staff RN in ER/ICU/OB/OR.
  • 3 years professional clinical instructor experience.
  • Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC instructor preferred.
  • Two years of supervisory experience.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Educator to oversee and maintain the clinical education programs for our staff, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and enhancing the quality of patient care. This role involves designing, teaching, and evaluating training programs while providing support services under the supervision of the Chief Nursing Officer or designee.

Responsibilities
  • Research and maintain current regulations and standards relevant to the clinical practice area.
  • Design and coordinate clinical specialty training programs, including human patient simulator training.
  • Oversee the trauma registrar program ensuring compliance with state regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and evaluate educational activities to promote professional development and maintain competency.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify education needs and best practices for nursing staff training.
  • Provide training resources and coordination for certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Participate in audits related to clinical education and work on developing action plans for improvements.
  • Support trauma designation and education efforts in collaboration with outlying clinics.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Active Alaska Registered Nursing license at the time of submission.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional nursing experience, including at least 2 years as a staff RN in a specialty area (ER, ICU, OB, OR).
  • 3 years of professional clinical instructor experience is required.
  • Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS; TNCC instructor certification preferred.
  • Two years of supervisory experience required.
