Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking a compassionate Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN) for a 13-week assignment in Anchorage, AK. Night shift consists of 3x12 hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30, in a dynamic adult and geriatric patient population.

The ideal candidate has 1 year of med-surg/telemetry experience, Alaska RN license (or pending with timely licensure), BLS, and Epic charting proficiency. We offer comprehensive benefits and support for travel and housing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in medical-surgical or telemetry.
• Alaska RN license in hand required; pending licenses accepted with timely application.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with patient ratios of 5-6 preferred.
• Proficient with Epic or similar EHR systems.

Job Description

Seeking a compassionate and skilled Medical Surgical/Telemetry Registered Nurse (MS/Tele RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment, supporting the clinical needs of adults and geriatrics with a variety of diagnoses and surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to assigned individuals, including administering medications and performing assessments.
• Monitor patient status and report changes to the appropriate healthcare team members.
• Educate patients and families on health management and care plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transitions of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical-surgical or telemetry unit.
• Current RN license in Alaska, in hand required for Auto Offer. Pending licenses accepted with timely application completion.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience with patient ratios of 5-6 preferred.
• Proficient in charting systems such as Epic.
