Job summary

Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, NJ is seeking an Education Specialist to lead unit education initiatives, develop competency programs, and mentor nursing staff. You will collaborate with Nurse Managers, design education plans, and support evidence-based practice across clinical units.

The role requires a BSN (MSN preferred) and at least three years of clinical or education experience, with NJ RN licensure.

Qualifications

Develops, supports, analyzes and delivers educational material to support staff at Holy Name Medical Center.
Assesses educational needs and plans education programs to improve clinical practice.
Mentors staff and supports specialty education initiatives.

Responsibilities

Establishes annual education goals with Nurse Manager to align with department and organization.
Develops education plan and competency programs using didactic education, simulation and demonstration.
Facilitates orientation of new staff and maintains orientation records.
Provides consultation and mentorship to preceptors, nurses and nurse managers.
Implements education activities based on performance data and surveys.
Provides clinical expertise at point of care including complex patient care and high-risk procedures.
Maintains documentation of staff education and development.
