Job summary

60 West in Rocky Hill, Connecticut seeks an experienced Professional Development Coordinator (RN) to lead and implement quality in-service education for staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and coach employees.

The role involves spending time on nursing units, evaluating care, coordinating training, and ensuring programs meet government and company standards; requires RN licensure, IV certification, and prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• RN licensure is required and prior supervisory experience in long-term care or hospital settings is preferred.
• Experience delivering in-service education and coaching adult learners.
• Knowledge of patient care standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality in-service education programs for staff.
• Evaluate program outcomes and adjust content as needed.
• Spend substantial time on nursing units to observe care and provide guidance.
• Ensure compliance with CDC, OSHA, state and federal regulations.
• Coach staff on nursing practices and procedures and support ongoing training.
• Coordinate education with RN Supervisor and Charge Nurses.
