Job summary

MedCadre in Falls Church, VA is seeking an Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide timely and comprehensive care to patients with urgent and emergency medical needs. The RN will assess, prioritize, treat, and monitor patients while responding quickly to changes in condition.

You will assess, prioritize, treat, and monitor patients, respond quickly to changes in condition, and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver high-quality care in a busy ED environment.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Previous Emergency Department or acute-care experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced emergency environment.
• BLS and ACLS certification; PALS as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid patient assessments and triage based on clinical needs.
• Monitor vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient condition.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and prescribed emergency treatments.
• Assist with emergency procedures and resuscitation efforts.
• Provide wound care and other nursing interventions as required.

• Educate and support patients and families throughout care.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow infection control, safety, and emergency care standards.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
