Job summary

EDCare in Denver, CO is seeking a compassionate RN to provide patient-centered care within an evidence-informed multidisciplinary team. You will administer medications, perform phlebotomy, monitor vitals, and document assessments and progress notes in the EMR.

The role emphasizes balance and collaboration, with a dayshift schedule Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm. We offer competitive hourly pay, paid time off, holidays, 401(k), and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado RN license (ASN/BSN) required.
• Experience with eating disorders or behavioral health preferred.
• Strong communication and calm under pressure in challenging situations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and conduct phlebotomy, EKGs, vitals and patient observations.
• Order and follow up on labs, communicate results to providers, escalate urgent findings.
• Educate patients on medications and eating disorder-related medical issues.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver ethical, high-quality care.
• Complete timely clinical documentation, assessments, treatment plans and progress notes.
• Assist milieu staff in supporting patients and maintaining a safe environment.
• Transport patients to programming and outings when required.

What you'll do as an RN Nurse:

• Perform daily nursing duties such as medication administration, specimen collection, phlebotomy, EKGs, vital signs, and patient observations.
• Order & follow up on lab tests, communicate results to providers, and escalation urgent findings.
• Address patient concerns with clear communication and provide education on medications and eating disorder-related medical issues.
• Collaborate as part of an interdisciplinary team to deliver ethical, high-quality care.
• Complete timely and accurate clinical documentation, including assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Assist milieu staff in supporting patients and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.
• Transport patients to programming & outings when required
• Current shift: Dayshift: 3 shifts per week (Thurs, Fri, and Sat) (7 am to 7:30 pm)

Our Ideal Nurse:

• Licensed: Must possess an active nursing license in Colorado as an RN with an Associate's or Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Experienced: Prior nursing experience working with eating disorders or behavioral health/mental health is preferred but not required.
• Confident & Composed: Confident nursing skills and decision-making; remains calm in stressful situations.
• Solutions-focused Team Player: Offers ideas and collaborates effectively with multidisciplinary teams; flexible and adaptable.
• Eager to Learn: Motivated to understand eating disorders and their medical challenges better.
• Computer Skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to quickly learn electronic medical records and other software systems.
• Professional: Demonstrates respectful communication, maintains patient confidentiality, and fosters a secure, trusting environment.

What We Offer Our RN Nurse:

• Pay Range:$38.00-$48.00/hour
• Competitive Shift Differentials:
• Weekday Overnight: $4.00 additional per hour
