Winnie L Nursing & Rehab is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) in Cameron, TX. The DON leads nursing services, guides staff with integrity, and ensures clinical excellence across the facility to enhance resident care outcomes.

Ideal candidates are an RN in good standing with Texas and have proven leadership in long-term care, a restorative mindset, and strong organizational and regulatory knowledge to drive quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Holds a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with Texas.
• Leadership experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
• Strong clinical skills with a restorative care approach.
• Knowledge of nursing home regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all nursing services in accordance with company, state, and federal guidelines.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, and performance of nursing staff.
• Assist on the floor to maintain high-quality direct care when needed.
• Approve payroll submissions to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor resident records for accuracy and proper documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop care plans.
• Ensure access to equipment and supplies for nursing staff.
• Lead, mentor, and support nursing staff to improve performance and outcomes.
