Job summary

MediLodge of Green View in Alpena, MI is seeking a Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the facility's nursing program and uphold high-quality resident care. This role requires RN licensure in Michigan, CPR certification, and prior DON or senior nursing leadership experience.

You will guide staff development, ensure compliance with clinical standards, manage scheduling and budget, and collaborate with administration to enhance patient outcomes and staff engagement.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred.
• Valid RN license in the state employed.
• Valid CPR certification.
• Three years’ experience as a Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or equivalent supervisory nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans and guides the professional development of nursing staff.
• Rounds on unit at least once daily and ensures clinical protocols and nursing policies are followed.
• Develops and manages systems to assure clinical competencies and training needs.
• Performs general management functions such as interviewing, hiring, disciplining and evaluating employees.
• Plans and facilitates meetings and committees to address resident care issues.
• Investigates and resolves residents’ concerns and survey issues.
