Job summary

Heritage Hall Big Stone Gap is looking for an RN DON to lead a dedicated nursing team in a long-term care setting. This role emphasizes compassionate leadership and hands-on involvement, especially during high-pressure periods, to ensure quality care for residents.

The DON will supervise care delivery, uphold regulatory standards, and mentor staff while aligning with the facility's mission to serve the elderly population with commitment and integrity.

Qualifications

• Must have ASN or BSN degree from an accredited college.
• Must have an active RN license in the state of Virginia.
• Experience in long-term care preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of individuals.
• Ability to read and understand written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines governing nursing in a long-term care facility.
• Ability to make independent decisions.
