Job summary

MemorialCare Health System in Long Beach, CA is seeking an experienced RN Director of Clinical Operations for Peri-Anesthesia to lead four locations and Interventional Radiology/Special Procedures with 24-hour responsibility. The role focuses on patient care quality, budget stewardship and cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years clinical background in perianesthesia.
• Minimum of 3 years hospital management experience in tertiary care.
• Experience in a union environment and employment management practices preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements including Title 22, Title 24 and JCAHO.
• Knowledge of accounting and budgeting principles.
• Knowledge of quality and performance improvement activities (LEAN principles preferred).
• 3-5 years prior nursing management in assigned area of clinical expertise.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Demonstrated interpersonal relationship skills.
• Ability to adapt to emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour oversight for four Peri-Anesthesia locations and Interventional Radiology.
• Lead care coordination and customer service for physicians and administration.
• Plan, organize, direct and evaluate department activities to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and fiscal accountability within the department.
• Collaborate with Nursing leadership and the Medical Center to drive improvements.
