HCA Florida Raulerson Hospital is seeking an experienced RN Director of Critical Care ICU to lead and elevate the department’s operations in Okeechobee, FL. This role focuses on quality improvement, fiscal stewardship, and patient satisfaction while guiding the ICU team.

The ideal candidate brings Florida RN licensure, BLS/ACLS credentials, and at least 3 years of acute care nursing plus 2 years in a management role. Sign-on bonus eligibility is noted.

Qualifications

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Compact Licensure.
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• BLS certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• ACLS certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting.
• Minimum of 2 years management experience as a Nursing Manager or Nursing Director in an acute care hospital setting.

Job Summary And Qualifications

Directs and manages the operations and activities of the assigned department. Responsible for the overall management of the departments operations to achieve quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals and objectives established. Responsible for the staff performance and the accomplishment of departmental responsibilities in accord with corporate, hospital, department, and safety policies and procedures to meet both company and regulatory requirements. Responsible for providing high-quality patient care to and acting as a liaison with patients and their representatives, physicians, employees, and community agencies. Responsible for the efficient operation of the departments and optimum use of resources to maximize productivity and minimize costs.

The Unit Director assumes the role as a leader in planning, directing and managing the department and staff to assure quality service. The Unit Director is responsible for meeting JCAHO Standards, complying with corporate policy and procedures, promoting teamwork with physicians and all health care providers, promoting internal and external customer satisfaction, and appropriate resource management.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current Florida license as Registered Nurse or Recognized Compact Licensure (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements, including/not limited to ongoing eligibility and duration provisions)
• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Minimum 3 years of clinical nursing experience in an acute care Hospital setting
• Minimum of 2 years management experience as a Nursing Manager or Nursing Director in an acute care Hospital Setting

We are licensed by Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration as a Primary Stroke Center. We provide diagnostic services accredited by the American College of Radiology.
