Northwest Specialty Hospital is seeking a Director to lead the Senior Bridges Geriatric Psychiatric programs, ensuring care meets hospital and regulatory standards. You will oversee social services, intake, quality, and marketing, with 24/7 operational responsibility for the department.

The role requires a master’s degree in social work or nursing and at least two years in a progressive supervisory administrative role in a psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

Northwest Specialty Hospital, an extension of Northern Nevada Medical Center, brings expanded services to a new building located at 6225 Sharlands Ave. in Northwest Reno. The facility will offer acute rehabilitation and adult behavioral health services.

Our acute rehabilitation services include occupational, speech, and physical therapy for adults recovering from stroke, injury, or another disabling condition. We offer advanced treatment for a wide range of conditions including stroke, brain injury, amputation, neurological disorders, major multiple traumas and spinal cord and back injuries. All patients will experience private rooms, have access to a newly renovated therapy gym, and personalized care from our qualified staff.

Inpatient behavioral health services or residential mental health care is a long-term stay at a residential mental health facility that allows for the maximum structure and treatment for mental health disorders.

From support systems, education and medication management to family, individual and group therapies, patients live at the residential facility while attending treatment. Job Summary

Directs, manages and coordinates the inpatient and outpatient Senior Bridges Geriatric Psychiatric programs ensuring appropriate care is delivered to patients in accordance with Hospital and regulatory standards.
