Job summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking an experienced RN for the Digestive Disease General Surgery Unit at the Main Campus in Cleveland. You will provide world-class perioperative nursing care for adults and children undergoing complex abdominal surgeries, with a focus on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN).
• Current RN licensure in the state where employed.
• BLS certification required; ACLS within 6 months of hire if performing moderate or procedural sedation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver professional nursing care in an operative setting to adult and pediatric patients.
• Perform scrub functions, selecting and handling instruments and supplies.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions during procedures.
• Assist the operating physician with surgical tasks, including hemostasis and suturing.
• Prepare the operating room, instruments, and equipment for use.
