Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required; BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• External applicants: 2 years recent related nursing experience; Internal applicants: Less than 2 years may be considered with approval.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Implement, monitor, evaluate, update, and revise patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
• Educate patients and their families.
