Job summary

AdventHealth in Rome, Georgia, seeks a Registered Nurse for dialysis to deliver patient care during treatments, monitor patients, administer medications, and document nursing notes.

The role requires RN license and BLS; 1+ year dialysis experience preferred. Schedule 3x12 hour shifts (7a-7p) with some night call and rotating weekends, with potential float to AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray. Sign-on bonus $10,000. Benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing (Required)
• 1+ year RN experience (Required)
• Dialysis nursing experience and acute/inpatient dialysis preferred
• BLS certification required (CPR) (Required)
• ACLS and CDN certifications preferred (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Communicates courteously with patients and teams to ensure safe, timely care.
• Provides dialysis nursing care, patient assessments, and treatment documentation.
• Administers medications, blood products, and monitors patient status during dialysis.
• Maintains aseptic technique when accessing sites and assisting with procedures.
• Performs post-treatment nursing notes and communicates with physicians and nurses as needed.

Job Description:

Minimum Pay: $35 / hour

• Communicates courteously with internal and external customers, demonstrating respect and developing positive working relationships.
• Collaborates with co-workers and other departments to assist with patient flow and ensure timely procedural care.
• Considers safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice when delivering nursing services and ordering supplies.
• Rinses, primes, and positions equipment, attaches tubing, prepares dialysate, calibrates alarms, sets monitors, and performs system checks.
• Provides critical acute nursing care to ensure patient safety, comfort, and well-being.
• Performs patient assessments prior to treatment and proceeds based on assessments and physician’s orders.
• Obtains blood samples and other specimens as indicated or ordered. Administer medications, blood, and blood products as ordered by the physician and according to policies.
• Assess and provide care for patients related to blood pressure, weight changes, access patency, lab values, dialysate composition, and fluid flows.
• Complete nursing notes after every dialysis treatment and communicate with the physician and primary nurse as needed.
• Clean and dress access sites and other wounds using appropriate aseptic techniques.
• Participate in patient and family teaching regarding dialysis treatment and dietary recommendations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience:

• 1+ years RN experience [Required]
• Dialysis nursing experience [Preferred]
• Experience with Acute/Inpatient dialysis [Preferred]
• Medical/surgical, ICU, CCU, and ER experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]
• Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) [Preferred]

Pay Range: $30.70 - $50.42
