Job summary

AdventHealth Rome in Georgia is seeking an experienced RN to provide dialysis care in our hospital-based unit. You will perform patient assessments, administer medications, and ensure safety and comfort during dialysis as per physician orders.

Requirements include 1+ year RN experience and BLS certification. ACLS/CDN are preferred. This full-time role offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and rotating weekends with 3 x 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide critical acute nursing care to ensure patient safety and comfort.
• Perform patient assessments prior to dialysis treatment and follow physician orders.
• Administer medications, blood products, and manage dialysis-related procedures.
• Monitor vitals, access sites, dialysate composition, and fluid flows.
• Complete nursing notes after each dialysis session and communicate with the physician.

Job Description:

Minimum Pay: $35 / hour

Work Schedule: 3 x 12 hour shifts, 7a-7pm, some night call, rotating weekends

May include floating to AdventHealth Gordon and AdventHealth Murray

Sign on Bonus: $10,000

• Communicates courteously with internal and external customers, demonstrating respect and developing positive working relationships.
• Collaborates with co-workers and other departments to assist with patient flow and ensure timely procedural care.
• Considers safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact on practice when delivering nursing services and ordering supplies.
• Rinses, primes, and positions equipment, attaches tubing, prepares dialysate, calibrates alarms, sets monitors, and performs system checks.
• Provides critical acute nursing care to ensure patient safety, comfort, and well-being.
• Performs patient assessments prior to treatment and proceeds based on assessments and physician’s orders.
• Obtains blood samples and other specimens as indicated or ordered. Administer medications, blood, and blood products as ordered by the physician and according to policies.
• Assess and provide care for patients related to blood pressure, weight changes, access patency, lab values, dialysate composition, and fluid flows.
• Complete nursing notes after every dialysis treatment and communicate with the physician and primary nurse as needed.
• Clean and dress access sites and other wounds using appropriate aseptic techniques.
• Participate in patient and family teaching regarding dialysis treatment and dietary recommendations.
• Other duties as assigned.

Work Experience:

• 1+ years RN experience [Required]
• Dialysis nursing experience [Preferred]
• Experience with Acute/Inpatient dialysis [Preferred]
• Medical/surgical, ICU, CCU, and ER experience [Preferred]

Licenses and Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
• Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) [Preferred]
• Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) [Preferred]

Pay Range: $30.70 - $50.42
