Job summary

CHI St. Alexius Health in Dickinson, ND is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Kidney Dialysis Unit at St. Joseph's Hospital. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for dialysis patients, supervising care to meet standards and the ND Nurse Practice Act.

Ideal candidates hold an ND RN license (or a compact state), BLS, and BSN is preferred. The role includes a $5,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance for eligible new hires.

Qualifications

*Registered Nurse - Kidney Dialysis Unit Dickinson - St. Joseph's Hospital*

As our Registered Nurse for the Kidney Dialysis Unit, you will help patients with renal conditions receive high-quality, compassionate care so they can achieve optimal health outcomes. Every day you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient care for patients receiving dialysis treatments. You will be expected to supervise care according to policies, procedures, and the State Nurse Practice Act. To be successful in this role, you must be skilled in delivering comprehensive patient care while adhering to established standards.

• Assure quality of care by adhering to policies, philosophies, and standards of care regulated by the ND State Board of Nursing, the ND Nurse Practice Act, and other governing agency regulations.
• Utilize the nursing process, including planning, assessment, intervention, and evaluation, to develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care focused on optimal patient outcomes.
• Meet the educational needs of patients, families, and co-workers utilizing principles and current professional literature to achieve positive learning outcomes.
• Delegate nursing care with respect based on knowledge of staff qualifications, competencies, and individual patient care needs.
• Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection‑control policies and protocols, medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.

*Job Requirements**Required:*

• Nursing degree from an approved school of nursing
• *or & LICENSURE* Licensed to practice registered nursing in the state of North Dakota or in a compact state (Graduate Nurse/G.N. must practice under supervision while work authorization is valid)
• *or & CERTIFICATIONS* Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (Must be completed within the orientation period and maintained as required)
