Job summary

Adecco in Bradenton, FL is seeking a Staff Registered Nurse (RN) - Diabetic Educator to provide comprehensive diabetes self-management education and support to patients living with diabetes, pre-diabetes, and related metabolic conditions.

The RN Diabetic Educator will work with care teams, assess learning needs, develop education plans, and document care while upholding safety and professional standards in a patient-focused environment.

Qualifications

• ADN/AON required.
• Current RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum 2 years clinical nursing experience.
• BLS certification required.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide diabetes self-management education and support to patients.
• Educate on medication management, nutrition, exercise, glucose monitoring, and lifestyle changes.
• Assess learning needs, goals, and barriers to diabetes management.
• Develop and deliver education plans tailored to patient needs.
• Reinforce treatment plans and patient roles in health management.
• Monitor progress and communicate findings to care teams.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and community resources.
• Support disease prevention and improved outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and records.
• Provide high-quality, timely patient care.
• Promote patient engagement and self-management.
• Maintain compliance with clinical standards and quality initiatives.
