Job summary

McLeod Health in Manning, SC seeks a full-time registered nurse to provide nursing interventions aligned with the plan of care and standards of practice, following physician plans and orders.

You will perform hourly rounds, foster compassionate care for patients and families, ensure safety, manage central lines and devices as appropriate, and contribute to team performance and staff development through mentoring.

Qualifications

• Active RN license verified by the LLR.
• BLS certification required for all nurses.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing interventions aligned with the Plan of Care and standards of practice.
• Conducts Hourly Rounds using service excellence standards.
• Fosters caring, compassionate, and respectful care for patients, families and visitors.
• Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment for patient and staff protection.
• Cares for central lines, Foley catheters, pressure ulcers, ventilators if applicable, restraints and fall risks.
• Supports department efficiency and serves as charge nurse when assigned.
• Precepts novice employees to support staff development.

Job description

• Provides appropriate nursing interventions, consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice, incorporating the Physician's prescribed medical plans of care.
• Using service excellence standards, conducts Hourly Rounds.
• Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families and visitors.
• Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patient and staff.
• Utilizes standard work in caring for central lines, foley catheters, pressure ulcers, ventilators (if applicable to unit), restraints and patients at risk for falls.
• Contributes to the daily efficient performance of the department, as charge nurse when assigned (Advances Resuscitative Certification appropriate to their patient population if serving in a Charge Nurse or PCS position).
• Contributes to the overall performance of the department through the precepting of novice employees.

Licenses and/or Certifications

• Active Registered Nursing License verified by the LLR
• BLS (Required for ALL nurses), Advanced Resuscitative Certification appropriate to their patient population if serving in a Charge Nurse or PCS position

Work Schedule

• Full-time, 72 hours bi-weekly, DAYS (7a-7p)
