The Registered Nurse on Unit at Baylor Scott & White Health in McKinney plays a key role in patient care management, collaborating with physicians and staff to deliver effective nursing care and care plans that reflect each patient’s needs. You will care for cardiac, EP and vascular patients, with a 1:3/4 nurse-to-patient ratio, and maintain readiness for high-acuity cases during day shifts.
Shifts are 5a-5p, 6a-6p, or 7a-7p, Monday through Friday, with PRN four shifts monthly.
Cardiac, EP and Vascular Procedure patients- cardiac catheterizations, Ablations, amulets, pacemakers, extremity angiograms, EVARS, extremity vascular stenting
1:3/4 for nurses | 8 day surgery beds, 6 recovery room beds
A minimum of 2 yrs Cardiac experience, PCU or higher
Day Shift | Monday through Friday. shifts are either 5a-5p, 6a-6p, or 7a-7p. no holidays. PRN must work 4 shifts a month- does not matter how those 4 shifts are worked (ie once a week, two every two weeks, four shifts in one week)

The Registered Nurse on Unit is a key player in patient care management, following our nursing practice model. They work with other health care staff to deliver patient care effectively. Our Registered Nurses use the nursing process efficiently. They diagnose patient responses to health issues and create care plans accordingly. It includes evaluating healthcare needs and responses.
