Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Surgical RN for the Ambulatory Surgery department at Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, TX. The role focuses on intraoperative care and peri-operative coordination for patients undergoing surgical procedures.

The candidate should have an active RN license, BLS and ACLS; CC RN certification is a plus. A BSN is preferred, with a minimum of one year in acute care settings.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in an acute care hospital.
• CCRN certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-procedure assessments to evaluate medical histories, conditions, and procedure risks.
• Transfer and position the patient on the operating table, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Assist the provider during the procedure by preparing the patient, organizing supplies and equipment, and handling local anesthesia or medications as directed.
• Maintain knowledge of each phase of the peri-operative process and provide safe patient care throughout the peri-operative experience.

Hours: 8-hour shifts - 6am – 3pm

Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center – Mesquite, TX

We are seeking a Surgical RN, a registered nurse who will work in our Ambulatory Surgery department. As a Surgical Nurse, you will specialize the care of patients undergoing surgical procedures in a surgery department. Their responsibilities will be for intraoperative care of the surgical procedure.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-procedure assessments to evaluate patients' medical histories, current conditions, and any potential risks associated with the procedure
• Transfer and position the patient on the operating table, ensuring safety and comfort of the patient
• During the procedure, assist the healthcare provider by preparing the patient, organizing supplies and equipment, and providing support as needed, they may also prepare local anesthesia or medications as directed by the provider
• Maintain knowledgeable of each phase of the peri-operative process and perform safe patient care throughout the entire peri-op patient experience

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.

Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
