Job summary

Prime Healthcare in the Dallas region, Mesquite, TX is seeking a Surgical RN to join the Ambulatory Surgery department. You will provide intraoperative care, assist the surgeon, and help maintain a safe, efficient perioperative workflow.

The role requires a current RN license, BLS, ACLS within 30 days of hire, and preferably a BSN. Prior acute care or CCU experience is valued; CCRN certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS within 30 days of hire and maintain.
• Minimum one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital; CCU/critical care preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-procedure assessments to evaluate patients' medical histories, current conditions, and any potential risks associated with the procedure
• Transfer and position the patient on the operating table, ensuring safety and comfort of the patient
• During the procedure, assist the healthcare provider by preparing the patient, organizing supplies and equipment, and providing support as needed, they may also prepare local anesthesia or medications as directed by the provider
• Maintain knowledge of each phase of the peri-operative process and perform safe patient care throughout the entire peri-op patient experience

Hours:8-hour shifts -6am – 3pm

Location:Dallas Regional Medical Center– Mesquite, TX

We are seeking aSurgical RN,a registered nurse who will work in our Ambulatory Surgery department.As aSurgical Nurse,you willspecializethe care of patients undergoing surgical procedures in a surgery department.Theirresponsibilitieswill be forintraoperative careof the surgical procedure.

• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.

Additional Qualifications That AreaPlus:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
